This is a better title than " Contact's, Contact's, Contact's "
Tag and I have been training almost everyday or at least every other day since our Go dog Go trial. I have changed his contacts from 4 on the floor to a running contact..... after regionals his contacts really just fell apart. I have been using hoops near the top of the wall and at the bottom so he learns to come down lower and run off the wall instead of jump off half way from the top of the wall. We have been training this way for three weeks, really not that long at all but surprisingly he is starting to catch on and you can see him trying to run lower and down the wall. He will always need friendly reminders in training and on course if he blows them but already I feel 100% better about his contacts then I ever have. I was always worried about them before and found myself babying them. Now we just run and I know that as we keep training these contacts we both will improve.
I'm proud to say that we are in Master's everything now :o) yeah ! We received our Advanced Jumpers at the GDG trial... and he was such a good boy. I'm really hoping we will do well at Kimberly trial this weekend and we can reach a few more of our goals.
Meet Tag
- TAG ALONG
- Welcome to my Blog of "TAG" he has brought so much joy to my life. I have learned alot about the sport of AGILITY. Tag is my first Agility dog and when I went Shopping for a strong, driven, fast Border Collie.... BOY OH BOY did I get it. He is very driven, has extreme intensity and is the speed of light. Tag is 4 years old and we have been training together since he was 8 weeks old... I'm very proud of our accomplishments the past 4 years as we had many hurdles to jump. I have been very thankful for the great support system that I have. My team has encouraged me through every training session, every trial and seminar. Plus the support system I have at home makes it all possible :)
yippee!!! So glad the elusive advance jumpers Q happened! and on home turf.
