Meet Tag

Welcome to my Blog of "TAG" he has brought so much joy to my life. I have learned alot about the sport of AGILITY. Tag is my first Agility dog and when I went Shopping for a strong, driven, fast Border Collie.... BOY OH BOY did I get it. He is very driven, has extreme intensity and is the speed of light. Tag is 4 years old and we have been training together since he was 8 weeks old... I'm very proud of our accomplishments the past 4 years as we had many hurdles to jump. I have been very thankful for the great support system that I have. My team has encouraged me through every training session, every trial and seminar. Plus the support system I have at home makes it all possible :)

MEDICINE HAT

We had a alot of fun last weekend. I was very happy with Team Farn's performance on the weekend. We only brought home 1 Q in Advanced Gamblers ( 90 points and I think 55or 56 seconds) which has now placed us in Master Gamblers so I will get a crack at that on October 4th in Calgary. I was much more relaxed this weekend and didn't worry to much about anything. My most memorable moment was my Snooker run at the end of the day on Sunday, man did we rock that course. We didn't Q because Tag took the wrong tunnel but he was listening so well and it was my fault he took the wrong Tunnel because I needed to step into him more but before I realized this he was gone.I just walked away from that run feeling so damn good.

I was also thrilled with my Gambler run that we actually Q'd in. We nailed the end gamble and it looked really good as well.I was so,so happy with him and myself. When I reviewed my video I actually did a double arm pump....hahaha.. yeah I had a good laugh at that myself.

Jumpers Starter's: I screwed up AGAIN I was anticipating a sharp turn near the end of the course and of course I slowed down to much (over thinking and being to careful) and Tag turned to say " WTF Crazy Lady " and the judge called a refusal on him. I'm completing Jinxing myself now....WHATEVER... maybe we will get it on October 4th.

Saturday late afternoon I had volunteered to pole set for the Master Jumpers course but Amanda and Jan asked me to run Wicca and BB. Ahhh..YES....Of course I will I need all the handling experience I can get with any dog. BB and I ran and we did so good.... she would have had a Q but I pushed her a bit to far for the tunnel so the judge called a refusal on her but she is such a super sweet lil girl.

Then came Wicca... well imagine Tag but super short ( Corgi short ) and 1 million stides not a few really big aggressive strides. We did really good, only two bars dropped and one was my fault and one was her fault. The best part of that run was I think I gave her enough information as she didn't bark to much at me and she didn't bite me... LOL. She is awesome for me to run because her and Tag are alot alike just totally different bodies and she is super fast as well (which I love)

I'm looking forward to the one day trial on October 4th in Calgary as I would like to nail my Advanced Snooker and of course ..... You know the other one :0)
